To find the 2005 Ford Escape's fuELRail pressure sensor, You'll need to -- predictably -- look to the fuELRail. You'll find the pressure sensor sitting near the middle, attached to the rail with a pair of bolts with a black wiring harness coming off of it. It's relatively simple to remove and replace once You've located it and gained access, which is good news because they're known to fail. If You take Your Escape to a mechanic, You can expect to pay between $150 and $200 for the swap. Doing it Yourself, You can find a replacement sensor for around $100, so You'll be more than compensated for the 30-60 minutes that it typically takes to swap out the sensor.

The 2005 ford escape fuel rail pressure sensor or injector pressure sensor is usually attached to the engine control unit (car's central computer) and sits near the center of the fuel rail. A red vacuum line is attached to one side of the sensor. A four-wire plug is on the back of the sensor. A 5v reference signal from the car's main computer is received at the sensor's terminal 2, identified by the brown voltage wire with a white tracer.
