The fuel filter in a 2007 Chevy Silverado can be found in gas tank at the rear of the vehicle. This is on the fuel sending unit that is located inside the tank. The fuel filter in Your truck is designed to help clean the gasoline before it enters Your fuel lines to help prevent clogs. If You notice that You have lower than average fuel pressures then the first thing You should check is the filter. If the filter becomes clogged it will let less gasoline into the lines and that can result in decreased power that could possibly lead to the engine stalling as well. If You need to replace it You will need to lower the tank at the back of the truck to get into the top of it.

The fuel filter in a 2007 chevy silverado is along the the inside area of the frame rail under the truck. It can also be by the driver's side door above a cross member.

It is part of the fuel pump located inside the tank on the 07 Classic. Very poor design! I’ve replaced two fuel pumps on mine which require taking the bed loose, no way to get to metal gas lines on top of the tank to drop the tank

I believe because of the mid year changes on the 07 Silverado the fuel filter could be inside the tank where I found mine or on the frame rail. Either way it didn’t fix mine

Well that’s just bullshit. What a pain in my a*s. My 2007 Silverado is getting s**t for gas mileage, 9.6 MPG. That’s horse s**t too. So which is worse?Bullshit or horseshit? Cuz I gotta deal with one of them no matter what—-

The 2007 Silverado Classic "old body style" has the fuel filter in the tank. The 2007 Silverado "new body style" has the fuel filter inline between the frame rails. 2007 was the year they changed horses in the middle of the stream.
