On the 2007 Ford Fusion, it's recommended that You change Your transmission fluid every 25,000 to 40,000 miles to account for breakdown. Between changes, it's still wise to regularly check Your transmission fluid levels, so You'll need to know the location of the dipstick. Luckily, Ford makes it quite conspicuous and easy to find. To find it, You'll need to look to the upper engine bay, slightly to the right of center. It will be located immediately to the left of Your battery, and to the right of Your engine block. This is the same on Fusion model years 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. If the fluid smells burned or has dirt particles in it, it's likely that Your Fusion is soon due for a transmission fluid change.
