Especially if You live in a state where emissions inspections are required, the EVAP system will be a perennial pain in Your tuchus. In the case of the 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer, it's possible if not likely that You'll need to find the vent valve or the EVAP vent solenoid. Luckily, they're relatively simple to locate, though a little more difficult to diagnose and / or replace. First, You'll want to look underneath Your vehicle. That big thing with gas in it That's Your gas tank. Start there, and move on to the charcoal canister, which should be nearby. Follow the large rubber or plastic hose out of the canister, and You'll find the vent valve. You'll see a connector plugged in; the point of contact is Your solenoid.
