The fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles. If it doesn't, You will come across issues with the performance. Having the fuel burn greatly is the key to maximizing Your miles per gallon. Your gas tank needs to be in top shape. You will come into issues at some point. The gas tank can become loose. A faulty control valve may arise. The gas cap could become stuck and will be quite an ordeal to deal with. There might be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto.

My car cranks over but doesn't start when I put fuel in my tank, it runs well with the gas it already has, it's just does that when I fuel up. I know there's two fuel pumps on my car, which one is bad?

This is under the car, connected to the fuel line that is running to the front of the car.
