If You're looking for the oil filter on the 2010 Ford Escape, You'll be pleased to find out that it's easily accessible. The oil filter on the Escape is located right next to the oil pan. If You want to see it directly, go ahead and look right under the front of the vehicle. Exactly aligned with Your license plate, next to the oil pan, is the oil filter. Its a black cylinder that needs special tools to drain and twist to replace. It's always recommended that when You are changing the oil on Your vehicle that You change the oil filter too. You wouldn't want the old oil to end up mixing with the new oil since that would defeat the purpose.
