The fuel pump control module in a 2012 Chevy Impala can be found near the outside of the fuel tank on the vehicle. This is the module that talks to the fuel pump and tells it when to turn on to send gasoline through the lines and up to the engine. When there is a problem with the fuel pump control module you will usually get a check engine light at your dash and the code will let you know there is a fault. The only real way to fix the problem is to replace it with a new one since it is a small electrical component and that is something that can be hard to repair.
Look on the frame rail near the spare tire not inside the fuel tank like other models.
