The 2012 Ford Escape uses a power steering pump to circulate lubricants in and around gears and pistons to help You move the wheels with ease. It's important to never let these fluid levels drop to prevent damage to the pump and Your steering hydraulics. The Escape's PS reservoir can be found under the hood in the engine bay. It is located on the passenger side of the vehicle next to the firewall. A long plastic cylinder holds the PS fluid in between the coolant reservoir and window washer reservoir. The container is usually marked by symbols or lettering to identify it. The Escape can use any synthetic multi-vehicle PS fluid in its pump designed for American vehicles. If the Escape's steering needs attention You will notice whining or high pitched noises when turning the wheel.

The power steering fluid for the 2012 ford escape is located in the power steering reservoir, under the hood. After opening the hood and fitting it on the prop rod, look near the engine to find the power steering reservoir. It is usually a yellow or white container with a black cap.
