The BCM or Body Control Module in Your 2012 Ford Focus is the vehicle computer that controls all the non engine related functions and features. All the lights, displays and even the SRS/Airbag systems are controlled by it. The location of it in the 2012 Focus is under the driver side of the dash normally behind a plastic panel that is part of the center console. If You are having problems with a specific system in Your vehicle, it can sometimes help to try and reset the BCM. You may be able to reset it by disconnecting the negative battery terminal and leaving the car to sit for 10-15 minutes. This does not always work though and You may need to take it into the dealer to have them reset it.
