The fuel filter on Your 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe is located under the driver's side door, tucked just a little bit inside the frame. Since the fuel filter itself is only around $8 from places like AutoZone, You're looking at labor costs if You have the shop do this, so save a little and try it Yourself: You're only going to need two wrenches and a container to catch any of the spilled fuel. Let's try to MINImize that: Before getting going, pull the fuel pump relay, and start the engine. Now, just let it run until it stalls out; this should significantly decrease the amount of fuel You spill by depressurizing the system. Now, get underneath the driver's side door and follow the fuel line to the filter. You'll see a silver tube that's threaded on both ends. You're not going to unbolt anything here; there's no need. The engine facing end should have a rib on the end of it. You'll secure a wrench on this end, and the other wrench on the end of the filter. Loosen the filter, but don't twist too hard... A little fuel will come out. You should see a little black clip on the engine facing end of the filter; this allows You to remove the fuel line from it. Do so, and juSTSlide the filter from the harness. Install the new one, and reverse the procedure. Finally, crank Your Tahoe up and listen to that truck purr!
