There are two camshaft position sensors on the 2013 Ford Escape. Both of them are located on the top rear of the engine. They are sitting side by side with one to the left and the other to the right. The camshaft position sensor gathers information about the vehicle's camshaft speed and sends it to the vehicle's engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses this data to determine the timing of the ignition, as well as the timing of the fuel injection that the engine requires. If the ECM goes bad the average cost for a Ford Escape camshaft position sensor replacement is between $60 and $80. Labor costs are estimated between $40 and $50 while parts are priced between $20 and $30.

Two sensors. One for intake camshaft and the other for the exhaust camshaft
I have a doubt, each camshaft sensor is responsable for cylinder for 2 cylinders? The first one to cylinder(coil) 1and 2 and the second sensor to for cylinder(coil) 3 and 4? I have an error on my 2013 Escape on cylinder 1 and 2. Coil A and B.
