The fuel pump for a 2013 Ford F-150 is an in-tank module. It can be accessed and removed from the top of the tank by removing the gas tank from the vehicle.Your vehicles fuel pump works to pull the gas from Your tank to Your engine when Your car is running. The gas in Your tank helps to keep the pump lubricated and cool enough to prevent overheating. A fuel pump that overheats because of frequently low gas tanks will wear out more quickly. This can even result in a fuel pump failure. A weak fuel pump may still pump fuel, but the vehicle may experience difficulty starting from the lack of pressure.
