The heater core in the 2014 Ford Escape is mounted behind the dashboard panel on the interior of the vehicle. A heater core is a radiator-like device used in heating the cabin of a vehicle. Hot coolant from the vehicle's engine is passed through a winding tube of the core, a heat exchanger between coolant and cabin air.Driving with a faulty heater core can be risky, as it can lead to overheating and extensive engine damage. Even a clogged heater core can prevent proper coolant circulation, causing Your engine to run hot. But if You must continue driving for a short distance, keep an eye on the temperature gauge.

The heater core in the 2014 ford escape is mounted behind the dashboard panel and the blower cage on the interior of the vehicle. The unit is next to the ac evaporator, firewall and fan for pushing air through the ventilation mechanism. It looks and functions like a small radiator. The heater core is connected to a drain tube and clamp hoses.
