The fuel filters on Your 2016 Chevy Colorado is located under the truck, in front of the gas tank. You should change Your fuel filter every 22,500 miles or when Your vehicle indicates its time on the fuel filter counter. To change Your filter drain the water from the fuel filters by twisting the yellow valve off so it hangs down. Use the 27mm wrench to remove both of the filters. Replace both fuel filters and retighten. Prime the fuel filter by twisting the key to the notch before the engine would start. You should hear the fuel pump working. This procedure will put fuel in the fuel lines and make sure Your engine is not harmed. Once this has been done, You can start the vehicle.
