The fuel filter in a 2017 Chevy Impala can be found in the fuel sending unit that is located in the gas tank of the vehicle. The filter has the job of making sure to remove any small particles of debris from your gasoline before it enters your lines where it could clog them or the injectors. If you have lower than normal fuel pressure in your car then it is likely a problem with the filter being clogged. When this gets clogged less fuel will move through it and that can lead to a loss of pressure. When that happens you will usually notice a decreae in power and throttle response from the engine.
