The fuel pump relay in a 2003 Ford Expedition 4.6 liter is soldered to the mother board inside the passenger compartment fuse block. When the relay goes bad normally the dealer or repair shops will want to replace the fuse box. It could cost over $500 just for the parts then add another $300 for labor costs, You're looking at almost $800 total for the job. If You know how to solder electronics, You can save YourseLFA ton of money by removing the fuse boxAnd de-soldering the relay from the motherboard. Remove the trim panels from around the fuse boxAnd unbolt it from the car. There is a bunch of connectors going to it that need unplugged and the main power from the battery needs to be unbolted. The connectors only fit one plug, so dont worry about mixing them up.

This is located in the fuse box of the car, as it is in most cars.
