The starter for the 2017 Toyota Tacoma is going to be located on the driver's side and will be between the engine and the tire on this side. To access it You will have to put Your truck up on a jack and You will need to use a 2 ton jack to do this. Once the truck is up on the jack You are going to need to remove the tire in order to see the starter it will be back and to the left in the area behind the tire. A replacement starter for this vehicle is going to cost between $80 and $150 in parts costs but if You want to go ahead and have a mechanic take care of the whole job You will be looking at spending between $280 and $450 in labor and parts costs.
