As the owner of a Ford Escape, at some point You will need to know Your vehicle identification number, also known as the VIN. To find the VIN, You will need to stand outside Your vehicle, on the driver's side. Look through the windshield, at the small sticker on the lower inside of the dashboard. It will be near the defrost vents. The ID number for Your specific vehicle will be on the sticker.

The ford escape vin plate is attached to the left side of the instrument panel and is visible by looking through the windshield from the outside.

Like every car< ON THE dashboard NEAR THE drive! YOU CAN see IT THROUGH THE windshield!
On the engine. On a stamp you can see looking in through the windshield on the very bottom drivers side.On the outer panel of an opendriver's door or on the driver's door jam.
