The Ford F-150's Bank 1 O2 sensor should be found on the right or passenger side of the truck under the vehicle, near the engine before the catalytic converter. Look 12 inches above the converter, near the firewall to access it. If the F-150's on-board diagnostic system has recently thrown a P0131 code, the Bank 1, Sensor 1 may be the culprit. The error can be displayed if it's become d***y or clogged with road debris. Signs Your O2 sensors might need replaced include reduced fuel economy, rough idling, mIS Firing and an illuminated "check engine light". As a vital component to Your truck's emissions system the sensors monitor the amount of oxygen in the exhaust which in turn directs the air to fuel mixture allowed into the engine's combustion chamber by the PCM. Cost to replace an O2 sensor in an F-150 ranges between $175-$200 in parts and labor.

First determine the front of motor that would be the belt side crank. Alternator. Power steering. Air conditioning belt. Facing toward that, number 1 cylinder is on the front (left) even if it sits sideways number 1 is front left fire wall side.

If yourf150 is still stalling and running bad, try cleaning the mass air on the breather tube, if it still runs bad it most likely is the variable time sensors
