One of the most common reasons why a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee push button start might not work is a dead key fob battery. The push to starts system relies on the key fob to not only be charged up, but be within close enough proximity to the car. So to troubleshoot this, first thing is to make sure Your key fob is inside the car with You. If it is, and the push to start isn't still working, then check the battery in the key fob and replace it with a fresh one. These are usually CR2032 batteries. If the battery is replaced with a fresh one, and it still fails to start, then check the car battery, and make sure the terminals are well connected.
