There are many different reasons why the remote start might not be working on the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. It can range from something simple and not very costly to something more complicated and very costly. First make sure You are starting it right, You should first hit the lock button and then hold the remote start until the light flashes. If that didn't work then there might be something wrong with the key fob or with the vehicle. The most common thing that could be why it isn't starting is that the battery in the key fob might be dead. The size of the battery for the key fob for the Malibu is a CR2032 battery. Other things that can be going on is that the car battery is dead or that the key fob is completely dead.

If the remote start isn't working on the 2013 chevy malibu, hit the lock button once and hold the remote start button for two seconds until the cars light flash.
