There are quite a few reasons that the bluetooth would not be working in a 2014 Chevy Malibu. One could be that the bluetooth module is faulty, has wiring issues or there is a blown fuse. Check the fuse boxAnd refer to the owners manual to locate the radio fuse. Pull it out of its slot and visually inspect to see if it is blown or not. You may have a pairing issue with Your device, not being able to communicate with the bluetooth module. Try powering off the device and restarting it and then go into the settings to connect to Your Malibu's bluetooth. If it is a wiring issue the head unit would have to be removed from the car in order to trace down the problem.
