For the 2015 Hyundai Sonata if the abs and traction control light has come on then the variable speed sensor has detected an issue with the brakes. It may be something simple, like low brake fluid or old pads, but it may also be something big like upcoming brake failure. In any case, You should avoid driving till You have this sorted out, as failing brakes are dangerous and You may injure Yourself or others. Take the car to the shop. If it is simple then You can expect a hundred dollars or so to repair it, but if You have a large issue then it could be much more. It could also be that the VSS is bad, but that is less likely than the brakes having an issue.

Dealer has changed two of the sensors. It will be april before they can change the third one. I believe a recall is in order concerning these sensors.How many of the owners of 2015 Hyundai have this problem.

I have a 2015 hyundia sonata it has eight thousand & eighty five miles the car has three abs snsors gone bad. Called hyundia knowing these sensors are defective . Explained the car has been used very little as i have a truck & my wife is deceased. I received what i expected the dealer said the car had six of these . I like the car other than this problem. I think hyundia should redo all the sensors i believe the factory received a gross amt of defective sensors. No help from hyundia
