This has happened to my wifes 2013 Rav4 twice now. The solution was to ensure the gas cap is secure. If it is, but you smell gas, buy a replacement cap. Detach 1 cable from battery and reattach. Start car. It will stall first time. Start car for 2nd time. The check engine light and AWD light should go away. If this does not resolve issue go toAutozone or O'Reilly and ask for free diagnostic test.
