Why is my 2016 Cadillac Escalade power running boards not working?

If Your 2016 Cadillac Escalade's power running boards aren't working, usually, the simplest thing You can do is just reset them. There's a small disable switch underneath the HVAC climate control system in the middle of Your bash board that will let You toggle the system on and off. If, however, Your running boards seem to be stuck in the up and down position, say, after Your battery has died or other issues, there's a way to deal with that without needing to go into a shop or use a scan tool. Open all the front and rear doors, and then set the parking brake. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position, and with the engine still off, toggle the disable switch mentioned above three times within 20 sections. Then, close all the doors. Open the left front or left rear door and You should see the left side board extend now. Close it, and the board should retract. Do the same test on the right side. You should now have Your power running boards working.
