If the touch screen is not reacting to Your touch on Your 2016 Chevy Colorado You could be dealing with a screen that has gone bad. If this is the case then there is really nothing You can do about it and You're going to need to replace the screen itself. A replacement will cost a couple hundred dollars and if You're going to take it in to a shop then the labor will add a few hundred also. If the screen is just not powering up at all then it will more likely be wiring or a fuse issue.

My son has an aftermarket amp wired directly to the battery. This caused the fuse to burn out and the amp and touch screen went black. Pulled the amp fuse (spot F20) and replaced with a new one. The screen and amp are now working properly.

Bad screen possibly,or bad unit behind screen. Try unplugging the screen from the unit to see if itll reset,if not probably bad screen.

Generally, when the touch screen stops working in a 2016 Chevy silverado, it needs to reset or calibrated again.
