If the rear defroster is not working in Your 2016 Ford F-150 the first thing I suggest that You check is the fuse to the system. Since the defroster uses a lot of power it is possible that the fuse could have been blown at some point during the normal use of the defroster. If that does not solve the problem then I suggest checking the wire traces that are in the window. These are what actually get warm to help melt off snow and You should see if they are damaged at all. If all of those are okay then there could be an HVAC system problem that is preventing it from working properly and You may need to have that diagnosed further by a professional.
