The radio in Your 2017 Chevy Impala is like any other electrical component, it needs power to function. It gets its power through a fuse located in the interior fuse panel that can be accessed through the door that sits in front of the drivers left knee. This is usually a 15 or 20 amp fuse in position #4. You must replace it with a fuse of the exact same amperage rating. Another common cause for the radio to stop working is the anti theft system that gets triggered when the power is disconnected for a certain amount of time. The head unit will not power back on until a reset code is entered. You can usually get this reset code by calling or visiting Your local Chevy dealership.

I had a similar issue with my 18 impala lt.all the sounds (door chimes and etc) stopped working. I tried all the usual things-- fuses, onstar reset, and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes. It turned out to be a blown amplifier in the trunk. I replaced it with a used amplifier for $55 I bought online from car-parts.com. You just need to know the exact part #,which is on the underside of the amplifier.. It took about a half hour to change with a basic socket set with a deep 10mm socket.

The 2017 Chevy impala radio may not be working for a multitude of reasons and the common problems are blown fuse, anti-theft issue, software update/issue, or damaged/faulty wiring harness.
