Some of the common reasons the 2018 Dodge Ram backup camera is not working are a broken fuse, a bad switch or wiring, or a poor connection. Cameras are electronic, and a software glitch may also prompt a blank screen, or one that shows only the backup guidelines, but does not show an image. If there are any problems the first thing You should do is reset the infotainment system to see if that fixes the problem. You can also check the fuses and make sure the wiring does not have any shorts or corrosion. If You cannot find a fix You can take it to the dealership in which they will run a diagnostic on the software/infotainment system and get it fixed. The cost for replacement cameras will range from $800 - $1200 including parts and labor.

Remove tailgate cover . Look for the wire that goes to the camera, look for a connector with a white clip around it . Remove clip, and un plug connector. Spray each end with brake cleaner, blow dry with compressed air . Apply electrical grease to connector , and plug securely. That should fix the problem.

If the backup camera on the 2018 dodge ram is not working then you should clean the camera, check the wires, and check the lens to make sure it is not damaged.
