There are a few reasons the backup camera in Your 2018 Mazda3 may stop working. The first thing to check is to make sure You have the display powered on. If You are sure that is not the problem, a forced reboot is the neXTStep to take. To do this You will need to hold down the Mute Nav and Back buttons at the same time until the in-dash display restarts. If that did not correct the problem You will need to troubleshoot the camera. The first thing to check is the fuses. Look in Your owner's manual to find the fuse locations and check any that are associated with the display, radio, camera or infotainment system. If those are all good You may have a bad camera, this can happen from damage or water getting inside the housing.

Camera got wet, water seep into the seal and shorted the camera. Mazda has updated camera, get them replaced before warranty is over.

Some of the common problems the 2018 mazda 3 backup camera is not working are a broken fuse, a bad switch or wiring, or a poor connection. Cameras are electronic, and a software glitch may also prompt a blank screen, or one that shows only the backup guidelines, but does not show an image.
