If the touch screen is not working in Your 2019 Chevy Silverado the most common reason is that the software has frozen. You will want to first try to restart the head unit. If that fixes it then You should make sure that Your software is up to date. Usually software updates fixBugs that cause the screen to freeze. If Your screen is not powering on then the thing You should check are the fuses. These can become damaged due to shorts. If they are fine then check the wire harness at the back of the head unit to make sure it did not come loose. If everything seems fine then You may need to replace the screen as they can die over time.

Hold the HOME button and FAST FORWARD button in together for 10 seconds. It will reboot the software. I just had to do it and it worked like a charm!
If the screen does not light up how can you do the HOME and FAST FORWARD FUNCTION? Sorry maybe I just don't understand.

There may be an issue with the screen itself, but one of the most common issue is that the screen is very d***y or very cold.

Turn off the vehicle. Pull the 20A fuse for RADIO in the passenger side fuse panel. Start the vehicle. The touch screen should start to respond. Turn off the vehicle. Put the 20A radio fuse back in.
Home and fast forward button WORKED!!

My screen randomly froze and wasn’t responding to any touch. Tried several things. Holding the two buttons down= powered my screen off and then it rebooted. Works great!! Thank you!

My screen works it shows stuff and when you press buttons it works but the touchdosnt do anything
Not sure but we had to have the hvac lights replaced due to electrical issues.

Turn off vehicle pull 20 radio fuse Turn on vehicle Display will come on Enjoy Saw this in another comment but lost the OP I take no credit but give thanks
Make sure ur truck is in park. Hold the hang up button for 10 secs. Turn the truck off. Open and close the driver door. Wait for all displays to turn off completely. Then start ur truck back up

Home and fast forward didn’t work for me but home and rewind did so thank you for the ideas of trying the buttons to reset it!
