Some of the common windshield wiper problems associated with the Chevy EquinoxAre a blown fuse, a defective relay switch, or a damaged windshield wiper motor. The first things to check to troubleshoot is the fuse and the wires connecting to the wiper motor. The Chevy manufacturer was also under federal investigation for a recall that involved windshield wipers suddenly stopping while in use. Consumers reported that they heard the motor still running but the wipers stopped. If there is an issue and the wiper motor does need to be replaced the cost for the replacement will vary from $50 - $100 depending on if its an OEM or aftermarket product.

The most common cause of a windshield wiper not working is most likely the cause of a blown fuse or connection/wiring problem.

I have 2007. For years the battery at times would drain. Mechanics no help. Found today the rear window wiper was draining it. Pulled the fuse, inside, and it's fixed!
Check the fuse first. Should have two fuse boxes. 1 is under the hood and 1 is under the glove box on the passenger side of vehicle.
