There are a number of ways that Your Toyota Yaris's touch screen might fail, and each of them indicates a different cause. To start, is Your screen displaying anything at all, or is it just blank black or blue Is it simply not accepting Your touch inputs Can You see any visible cracking or trauma on the screen If Your screen displays solid black (in other words, doesn't display at all), this points to a power issue or a head unit hardware issue. Blue indicates a software failure ("blue screen of death" or BSOD), and the dealer will have to reflash Your unit. Failure to accept touch inputs usually indicates damage to the digitizer underneath the screen, even if You can't see it; this is often so expensive to replace that it's makes more sense to swap out the entire head unit.

If the touch screen is not working in your Toyota Yaris vehicle, you may be dealing with a disconnected under dash cable or need to perform a software reset.

If the display is just blank, recycle power to the car by disconnecting the battery for at least a minute. I experienced this issue after a jump and power cycling worked like a charm. Good luck 👍🏻
