One of the most common reasons for a car radio to stop working in a Ford F-150 is a blown fuse. If the radio itself will not turn on, chances are good that one or more blown fuses are causing the problem. This should be verified by testing the radio for power and ground with a voltmeter, as well as an inspection for blown fuses. If one of the wires (or more than one) has shorted out in the Audio system, You may see either erratic operation or no operation at all. This can also cause fuses to blow in rapid succession (You replace a fuse and it blows again shortly after).

If your ford f150's radio is not working you could be dealing with a blown radio fuse or a problem with the electrical control module of your vehicle. Consult a professional diagnostic technician.

2018 F150. Radio don’t work, checked radio fuses. Ok. Screen comes on, other controls I can see on screen. Just the radio to turn “on” by pressing radio symbol, nothing shows ?

On a 2009 F150 XLT the radio won't turn on.., checked and fuses all ok. Disconnect the battery for 1/2 hour and radio came to life. Needed a reset but can't explain it.

Ok at 107,000 miles when got home, radio did not work. Screen worked for other functions but radio would not come on. Pulled fuse, put back in no work. Pulled fuse inserted CD disk in, would not go in but required power in radio unit to try and accept CD. Again, cd did not go in pushed cd eject button again to use left over power inserted fuse back into panel (32 i think) worked. Radio must be "stuck" in crazy software mode and when tried to use radio with no fuse it "reset". Am happy with fix, sad as this radio has gone black on multiple occasions. Like this post if you like it please. PM me if you have further questions. Forgot to scan OBD2 port to see if any code, sorry would have if above did not fix it. 2 - off course checked fuse in fuse box . Was good. Did not change it.

After using a booster/charger to jump start my F150, my radio stopped working. Screen was dark unit unresponsive. I checked all fuses, none burnt out. I disconnected the battery both positive and negative and left it for a few hours. I reconnected and the radio worked normally! About 1/2 hour after that, all my settings came back on their own!
