While there hasnt been a formal recall from Ford, many users have reported issues with the Fusions auto start/stop. As a result, there are a number of reasons why the system may not be working. If there is a large variance in climate and it changes very often, odds are the start/stop system has failed to work for this very reason. It requires a somewhat regulated temperature and so, may not work if the engine is too cold, or it is generally too cold outside. If weather isnt the issue, the car may need to cool down from being in Turbo. If that isn't the case either, odds are the car will require a comprehensive diagnosis to determine exactly why the auto start/stop isnt working.
