There are a few reasons why the backup camera may stop working in the Ford Fusion. The most common cause is a blown fuse. If Your screen simply says "No Signal" then this is probably the problem. It should be a 15-amp fuse in the number 23 position in the fuse box, but You can verify this by looking at the diagram on the inside of the cover. If the camera is black and white and the picture is full of static, there is generally a loose or damaged wire to blame. However, in some cases, bad wiring can cause a no signal warning, as well. Is the picture blurry or distorted This is generally an easy fix since most of the time it is caused by a d***y camera. The camera sits near the ground at the back of the vehicle. Use a microfiber cloth to clean it, and the problem should be fixed. In rarer cases, the camera could have been disconnected and plugged into the aux cable rather than the video feed or the entire unit might need to be replaced.

My camera is on and off sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. It just wasn’t working and I tried what Larico Moore did and unplugged my phone charger and it started working again

My ford fusion se. Everything was fine but, I took it in for the works service a few days later I had to go somewhere and went to backup and my picture stop working, never had any problems with it until now. Just wondering if the service guy did something and then I hear from a friend that this is a major issue with ford.I have had three ford fusions se and never an issue with the backup camera.
I found out that leaving my iPhone MagSafe charger plugged in full time can cause an issue. As soon as I unplugged the charger, my camera began to function like nothing happened. It only happened once.

My camera has been working on and off for about a year now. I read the comment above about simply taking your phone charger out and it working like new and that's exactly what happened!

I pulled fuse 23 out to check it, it was fine, reset it and the camera started working again.
I have a shitty iPhone cable plugged into one of the center console USB ports. Unplugging it seems to fix the intermittent camera working/not working. 2015 Ford Fusion energi titanium.
2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid- my husband's back up camera has a picture that is very distorted. He had a 60,000 mile service Air 4 months ago and the back up camera has had problems since. Help please.
