If the red light on the dash of the Honda CR-V is blinking then the anti-theft system has been turned on. This will make it so the car will not start. If You have the code You made then You can input it and turn it off. Otherwise, You will need to insert the key into the ignition and turn it on. Now wait for 3 minutes and turn it back off again. Then turn it back on and try and start the engine. If it comes on then the system is disabled, but if it does not then You will need to try again and make sure You wait long enough.
I cannot get it to stop flashing, even though I've turned the ignition on and off several times. Is there anything else I can do? (I don't recall ever getting a code; I've gone through the manual but see nothing there.) I'm worried that the battery will run down overnight before I drive it again. Thanks for any help you can give me.

The security or immobilized blinking light shows in the upper far left of dash panel. The blinking red ball type light in my CRV is in the far right lower dash panel. Below right side of Speedometer below fuel gage. This light is not shown or mentioned in the CRV Owner Manual

Push in hold the power button that is just above the blinking red light. This will reset your navigation system, phne connection, radio etc.

Why isn't this listed in the 2020 LX model owners manual & why is it so complicated ?? What does it do, how does it work ?
I have a Honda CRV 2000 and my red light is blinking at first I couldn't start my car but now I've got it started but it doesn't stop blinking my like my hazards are blinking the car still starts and turns off but I can't get the light equip blinking

If you unlock the car and leave it unlocked the light goes off. No security.
Same problem only I can’t get in car. Key won’t work. Red light flashing. Any solutions?

Agree with James Force above. It happend after a battery replacement. Redlight Blinking even the key is in the ignition and the vehicle is running. One to thing to determine also is that the FM radio is not available and the bluetooth feature. Push and hold the power button above it and it solves the problem. 2014CRV AWD.
