If Your Honda Accord will not start after You have changed the battery out there are few common reasons. The first thing that You should do is double check Your battery cables where they meet the terminals. If they are loose or installed backwards then the vehicle will not work, make sure that they are seated down and tight. If Your battery cables are good then there could be a problem with Your starter motor. If You hear the starter clicking or grinding then that is a pretty clear indication that the starter is not working. Another common problem is a lack of fuel pressure at the engine. When You turn on Your car You should listen for the fuel pump priming the system, if You hear nothing there could be a problem with the pump.

The honda accord not being able to start after a battery change is most likely the cause of a loose terminal connection with the battery.

My 2018 Honda Accord wouldn't start after I changed the battery. It would crank but not start. The red light was flashing by the speedometer. I checked the fuses and they were fine. I called the dealership and they told me to get it towed to them. I was messing around and I put the parking brake on and the red light stop flashing. It now starts and saved myself a few bucks :)

Same model/year and excat same issue. After spending a couple of hours on this and trying every possible relavant fix I found online, I thought I was going to have to get a tow to the Honda dealer. I gave it one more try messing with the "parking brake" but that didn't seem to work until I also moved the shifter from Park to Neutral and then back to Park. Then it finally started. Two things I noted, first the car rolled back slightly after I reset the shifter to Park and the brake pedal pressure dropped where there was more play with the pedal than all the previous attempts... Not sure what the exact fix was in the end but it shouldn't have to be this difficult just changing a freaking battery. Good luck.

Same exact behavior as Marc, having changed the battery with a DieHard 730 platinum; is going strong but it may not for long. The car is in a slight incline and I cannot change to neutral or anything like that, the override hiden in the compartment seems to be hollow. Will keep trying I guess. I don’t want to take it to the dealer. But what a bad design from Honda to make their owners go through all this complication. The same day earlier I was still able to move the car; but the original battery was barely able to keep a charge. So I figured that anew battery would fix it.
