Water entering the driver side footwell in the Honda CR-V is usually an indication of a plug in Your A/C evaporator tank. There could be debris preventing the condensation from properly draining. If it is equipped with a moonroof or sunroof, clogging in the drain tubes or worn weathering could be the problem especially if the water is coming from the front pillar. You should also check that there isn't anything blocking it from closing completely. If something becomes stuck in the tracks, there could be small enough opening to allow water to enter the cabin during rainfall. Lastly, water leaks could be a result of worn seals around Your windshield.

If your honda crv is leaking water on the driver's side floor you are most likely dealing with a failing ac drain in your vehicle.
Our 2006 crv started getting water in the floor boards and now we had to remove all the carpet due to wet, mildew smell, we have taken off anything that was plastic next to the foors on the exterior of the car. It looks like a stripped down model now and still leaks.
Where the driver door closesagainst the vertical plastic of the dashboard water can be draining down from the rubber door seal? Wipe dry the seal, door panel, and dashboard side. Then spray water at the closed door.and check!? Cure.:- try silicon grease on the rubber seal! Or new door seal.

If the CRV has a sub roof and it leaks from the plastic molding seams, above drivers seat and/or front passenger seat, then the water conduits in the sun roof are plugged and need to be cleaned.
