Fuel efficient family car.
Ac broke, only issues in all of ownership. It is not the most sporty or comfortable but it gets the job done. Bought it for cross country trip and kept it since. Fits whole family well but not too much extra. Bought a cargo container for roof when going on long trips.

Great all-around green hatchback.
We got it for a steal because it had technically been used as a rental although it had only a few thousand miles on it. Absolutely love the gas mileage, sometimes up to 50 mpg for long flat trips. It has plenty of space in the back, is very comfortable no matter if you are tall or short, and is very reliable. The little window cut outs make it easy to see all around you (better than the Prius we tried out). Handles very smoothly.

This hybrid vehicle gets great gas mileage and has been very reliable.
My car is a hybrid and I really like the fantastic gas mileage. The interior color is lighter than I wanted but a darker version wasn't available when I bought the car. The cargo capacity is great.

It is a hybrid with amazing gas mileage and it is being reintroduced
It is reliable. It has great gas mileage. It's compact.

Reliable and practical with incredible gas mileage for cheap.
This car has incredible reliability. Car has never broken down and has kept going strong for 68k miles. Power is limited with only 98 horsepower, but it is more than made up for with 41 miles per gallon in terms of fuel efficiency. Good space in the front, but rear passenger room is limited and best served for kids.

Great option for a hybrid car.
Great gas mileage. Car is comfortable to sit in, and has good visibility. Back seat is a little small, but the back seats fold down for tons of room if needing to pack the car.

The great gas mileage that I get
I bought my Honda Insight because of the great gas mileage. It also has a huge trunk which I really like for carrying things. I like the impact on the earth that my car makes

It gets excellent gas mileage.
It's a hybrid. It gets great gas mileage. It is paid off. I love the color. I wish it had better zippiness.

2011 Honda insight: a car for a young family, not for the young at heart.
The Honda insight year 2011 is a great reliable family car. It is a hybrid so it is amazing on gas. I only have to fill up about once a week and that only costs around 25 dollars. This is our main vehicle so we definitely drive it everywhere and gas mileage is incredible. I say through it's a family car because if you want speed his far has none. For a hybrid I've heard it can go pretty fast but I am not impressed at all but I like it for the safety features. For my kids and for the gas mileage.

That it is simple nothing unique.
Love the mileage rate and cost of ownership, however, there are times when I need a bigger vehicle. Traveling is good but sometimes I feel cramped if I have to drive for more than two days.

I love driving my Honda Insight
I love that I get consistently good gas-mileage in the city and even on the highway. I like that I am able to help ease the strain vehicles have on the environment, if only a little bit. There is also great storage capacity for such a seemingly small care.

It gets great gas mileage and is good for the environment.
My vehicle is very dependable. It has been a family favorite for many years. I am considering a new one from this model.

2011 Honda insight: lag and accelerating.
It is a reliable car that has lasted almost 100,000 miles and I have never had any mechanical issues. This care is a hybrid and to save gas, it shuts off the engine whenever the car is decelerating and goes below 3 mph. This as soon as I push the gas, the engine turns on again, but it has a kick due to the engine turning on and immediately accelerating. This car also has slow acceleration. Overall it is a reliable vehicle, but these things take away from the driving experience.

Compact hatchback, but not a Prius.
Road noise is low and it is very compact, good at saving me gas. The features are workable, though obviously not up-to-date as it is 9 years old. Despite being compact, the front seats are very comfortable and spacious, and the back seats fold down fully to have a large section at the hatch.

Family friendly and economically ideal.
I absolutely love my Honda insight! The gas mileage is amazing and it saves so much money each month in gas alone. When the car comes to a stop, the engine shuts off until the break is released and automatically starts again to save on fuel as well. I definitely recommend.

Hybrid gas mileage is great! Backup rear camera is very useful, we installed one recently and it helps.
Love the gas mileage I get as I have a long commute. I do not like the visibility in the car. It is hard to see out the back window. It's not a comfortable car as you feel every pothole and bump.
accountCircle Anthony p on August 3, 2020
It's fantastic gas mileage
It is a hybrid gets at least 40 mpg, has hands free phone connect; great interior room (hatchback); can haul quite a bit with back seats down. Goes at least 100,000 miles before tune up needed. I love this car!

Great gas mileage and very reliable.
I love my Honda insight. The gas mileage is incredible (although not as high as a Prius). We have saved so much. It has been extremely reliable and has served us well on everything from commuting to work and long trips crisscrossing the country. It has required very little maintenance, and is small but not too small.

Great, safe car with fabulous gas mileage.
I love this car! I have had it for 9 years, and it is the only car I have ever owned. It is barely given me any trouble at all over the years. Now that is it is getting a little older, the GPS no longer works - but now that I have a smart phone, I do not need it anyway. I am also having problems with air leaking out of the tire sensors, but that is another issue that is solely about age. The car is comfy, cute, and gets amazing gas mileage (~42 mpg on the highway). I have driven this thing all over the country, and I love it to death.

The gas mileage is incredible. Not as good as a prius but it is also less expensive than a prius.
I love the gas mileage it gets. I like the way it looks although that is not really important to me. I don't like that it is a shade of gray that is not easily seen by other vehicles- mainly large trucks.
accountCircle Jessica S on June 12, 2020
Great mileage for commuters
I regularly get 40+ miles per gallon with my vehicle which makes a difference when you commute each day!
accountCircle Amelia E on May 22, 2020
Seats are comfortable, drives well, good mileage, enough storage.
Overall no major problems. It uses a synthetic oil so it costs more. But the mileage is great if you know how to drive it. It's perfect for long road trips or commutes. The only complaint I could have about the car is that it is front lights are manual not auto.
accountCircle Elmer J on April 12, 2020
40 plus mpg is great and cargo area is impressive.
This vehicle averages 40 plus mpg. The only problem, though small, is an eight gallon gas tank. It is a hybrid. It is estimated that the hybrid battery last around 100,000 miles. We have 110,000 miles and have no idea how long it will last. There is no warning signal when the battery will go out. The ride is a little rough but average for that size of car. The back seats fold down and make an impressive cargo area. Would definitely recommend this car.

The Honda insight, an awesome budget friendly hybrid.
The insight is and amazing budget friendly bang for your buck car. While luxuries and comforts are lacking it is an excellent culture car that is built well and has excellent fuel economy and is priced much lower than other hybrids. I have had my insight for nearly a decade with no issues, regular maintenance I.E. Oil chance is all I need to do and it is still running strong.

It's Great to Drive an Insight
I love my Insight! No problems so far and 95000 plus miles on it. It's a hybrid and gets 47 highway mpg and 30 mpg in town. The only things I have had to replace on it are tires, rear brakes, and windshield wipers. It takes regular gas and and only requires an oil change every 9000 miles. It has cruise control, power windows and anti- lock brakes.
accountCircle Mark J on February 10, 2020
It can get up to 50 miles a gallon.
I like the gas mileage it gets. It does not have a lot of power when climbing mountains but the gas mileage I get saves money.

I have almost half a million miles on my Honda insight.
My 2011 Honda insight has over 470,000 miles on it. I have had zero issues w the maintenance. I have driven it across the country multiple times. I bought it from a courier, it is dependable, roomy, has great audio/ stereo features and map features. I am looking for another Honda hybrid after I hit half a million miles on this one.
accountCircle Jay M on December 12, 2019
If you really want the best gas mileage stick to the speed limit, learn to coast rather than break, and accelerate as slowly as safely possible.
My insight gets very good gas mileage when tamely driven. It has nearly 250,000 miles on It's original battery, transmissions, engine, etc. Honda's run well, and run long. One dislike is that the driver's view is a little more obstructed by a-pillars than the average car.
accountCircle Jennifer S on December 5, 2019
That the air conditioning will shut off when the car shuts off at stop lights!!
I like being able to get 40 miles per gallon of gas when I was commuting to work. I dislike the air system shutting off when the vehicle does when stopped. I dislike the amount of room in the vehicle now that we have a newborn and two other children.
accountCircle Kim M on October 3, 2019
My Honda insight serves me well.
I have owned my car for a little over 2 years and it has been quite reliable. I haven't needed any repairs other than regular maintenance and body work due to a deer collision. It is quiet and comfortable and the gas mileage is great. If I had the money for an extra, I'd love to have a sunroof, but otherwise the features are just fine for me.

My vehicle is a 2011 white with tan leather Honda insight. It is a 4 door sedan and has a lot of room. It has all upgraded systems and an amazing sound system. It's easy to drive and not too large. I like driving it on nice summer days and it does not overheat like other cars I've driven.

It's saves me a ton on gas and gets 45 miles per gallon!
I love my little sippy because it literally sips gas! $20 fills up the tank for nearly 500 miles!! It saves me a ton of money and is sporty looking as well. The only thing I don't like about it is the interior cloth is very thin.
accountCircle Serena A on June 19, 2019
Great gas mileage, reliable and stylish hybrid hatchback, for good price.
Highly reliable vehicle for a good price! Amazing gas mileage, and has only cost me maximum 22 dollars to fill a tank. Good speakers and base system. New transmission fluid will make your acceleration way better. Stylish outside for a hatchback hybrid as well.
accountCircle Margie K on May 31, 2019
Great vehicle, better gas mileage.
The only problem I have noticed with the car is the inability to go uphill efficiently. The vehicle is reliable, comfortable, and small. The 0-60 time is not quick, but it gets there. The hatchback leaves for a huge trunk even given the small size of the car. There are.
accountCircle Allie P on April 7, 2019
Great first car: it is a gas that does not need a ton of gas.
Efficient on gas, even 9 years later. Vibrant color, comfy seats, easy to parallel park. Only annoying thing is that the car needs to be moving for the air conditioner to work but it is usually not a problem for me! Steep hills can be annoying but as long as you know your limits you are good!

Good reliable car with a few upgrades and decent price.
Great gas mileage. Very reliable. Good visual out of all windows. Comfortable seats. Smooth ride. Can hook up phone to play music. Does not have good pick up/speed. Cup holders cannot hold large cups. Some of the power locks stopped working. A little too low to the ground. Armrest too small.

2011 Honda insight review.
Great gas mileage, pretty comfortable interior. Not many features-no Bluetooth or phone connectivity, but has an aux cord and CD player. Backseat is pretty small, and there is not much trunk space. Great for city driving, does not perform well in the snow/ice.
accountCircle Anna S on January 23, 2019
I love that I do not spend a lot of money on gas because it is a hybrid.
It functions pretty well, but as my car is getting closer to 100,000, it is starting to have more mechanical issues. It no longer has the same miles per gallon as it use to, but still gets above average miles per gallon. There have been issues with the tire sensors and the battery hybrid battery.
accountCircle Taylor H on January 12, 2019

Honda: a name you can trust
When we set out on our vehicle hunt we quickly narrowed our search down to hybrid vehicles with excellent mpg ratings. After careful deliberation we decided on our Honda Insight. We wanted a name we were familiar with- Honda. Our previous accord served us well for years, so we knew we'd be able to count on it. Our insight has, thank god, been running smoothly with no major service or repair issues since we've purchased it. It's pretty spacious considering it's an economy car, is aesthetically pleasing, and lives up to its mpg rating. The only issue we've experienced was due to The airbag recall. Although that could have been a major issue- I feel like Honda handled it very well. We were immediately notified and placed on a list for repair; plus given a free rental car while we waited.

Some of the highest fuel economy ratings in the class.
The insight has some of the highest fuel economy ratings in the class. It also has an excellent safety score. Auto critics said the insight’s interior is well-made and that the controls are easy to use, but rear-seat space is limited. The front seats are comfortable, but reviewers complained about the headroom in the back seat. On the other hand, the insight has good cargo space for a hybrid. If you want Bluetooth, a USB port or navigation. Though it is a small hybrid, the 2011 Honda insight has good cargo space and performance, along with class-leading fuel economy ratings and a high safety score.

I really like the gas mileage; it is great as a commuter car. I like the size for city driving/parking. I dislike its ability to handle winter road conditions.
accountCircle Meghan T on December 3, 2018
I bought the car as 'used' with only 4 miles on it.
The Honda Insight is quite spacious; when I moved out of my college dorm, I was able to fit practically all of my items in my car alone. This car still does quite well in gas usage. Depending on my level of driving, I can go one month without filling up on gas. One major annoyance with the Insight is that during the winter months, the driver window will 'stick' and it takes a while for me to get the window to go down. The tire pressure sensor is quite sensitive, so even though you may get the alert, if there was a huge temperature drop overnight, that's probably why the tire pressure notification came on.
