2018 Nissan Titan Reviews

I bought the Crew Cab Titan S New. First issue I had was the knocking in the engine. Complete engine replacement. Second issue I have is Transmission engaging after sitting for 24 hours and with it changing gears while accelerating. Dealer ship says nothing is wrong. Third issue is front end. I burned through front tires before 20K and when I go over a bump in the road get a loud clanging in front end like something is loose. Dealership said there is no issue. Fourth issue is sometimes when I go to start the truck it spits and sputters for 30 seconds and shuts off. Dealership said nothing is wrong.

Most of my Titans problems come from a crappy dealership. I took it in for its first service. They said they rotated my tires and changed my oil. I called them out on it bec ause I marked my tire with a special pen. It had not been rotated. They admitted to not doing it. Told me they would decide when my tires needed rotating. 500 miles later I checked my oil to discover it had not been changed. They put a big dent in my rear drivers side door. The right front side of th ehood has been repainted. Color does not match. I found stuctural damge behind the right front fender, so I figure it was wrecked in that corner sans the paint on the hood . O2 sensor had to be replaced at 100 miles. With a used one which has already went bad . Now at 30k miles the emgine has started knocking horrific. Paint is peeling off in several places. The interior remains in great shape. It is a pro4x.

I have 36000 miles on my XD Gas, recently ran into a issue where the exaust pipe and exaust became so hot that it literally melted my mud flap, noticed severe black oily exaust substance in exaust pipe, Is Not burning or going through any oil. Took it to the dealer for service. Here is what the dealer told me and put in writing. That there is nothing wrong and it is a normal issue with excessive gas burning. Bull, never have I seen this with a newer vehicle and especially to melt the mud guards, and the side of my truck box to be covered in black from the exaust. This truck has been serviced at all intervals required, As to the Air Filter I have to replace the air filter at every 5000 mile oil change as it is black and am told this is normal, never had to do this with other trucks I have thru the years. The titan is such an underrated and often overlooked truck. When I was looking to purchase a truck even I overlooked it! I was between a Chevy and ford but then my father had me look at the titan and the rest is history. The titan is a really muscular and aggressive looking truck. Pound for pound the titan feels better and had more standard features than the ford. It's all subjective but to me the trucks quality is better and that naturally aspirated v8 is so good!

I have about 45K on my 2018 Pro 4X Crew Cab. I give it high marks overall but have a few knocks. The nose is a little long. Drives good but looks odd. Conversely the Tundra is too pug nosed. My truck does not have Apple Car Play. Not sure if the new ones do but since my car has it it's very annoying not to have it in the truck. I tow a 25' ski boat that is about 8,000 pounds on the trailer. It pulls well at 65 MPH. Anything above 70 it never shifts into high gear on flat ground. The mileage drops to 5 MPG also. That being said it tows like a boss and I really don't need to tow at 70 MPH. I have not towed in the mountains. Overall pretty comfortable and I would recommend it to anyone looking. 400 HP & 400 foot pounds of torque are very apparent when towing with this truck. I have not experienced any mechanical issues to date. I did bend a tie rod end and feel it's a weak point in any otherwise great suspension.

I love how nice a ride it has. It road much less like a truck than some other brands I test drive. The blacked out midnight edition is exactly what was looking for. The 3 inch lift dealer installed that does not affect the warranty was another option I enjoy. I did not like that I was not able to find some of the options I wanted with the midnight edition. I wanted leather and remote start and did not find one anywhere around where Ilive. Not even sure if available.

We bought this truck a little less than a year ago and we love it so far. We have only had one problem but it had nothing to do with the truck itself. We think an animal got into the hood and chewed up some wires. The Nissan Titan has lots of room and really nice interior. It can seat 6 comfortably. It has lots of compartments and cup holders. It rides really smooth. The only downfall is the gas mileage but you are going to get that with any truck. This truck gets about 14 miles to the gallon. I wouldn't recommend it for long trips but it's great for moving large things. We mainly got it because my husband works on a farm so he is constantly having to drive through mud and also haul lots of soil and dirt. Overall though it is a great truck that performs above average! We hope to have this truck for many years to come. Nissan is a great vehicle that we have always been pleased with.
