The ram 2500 Laramie with the diesel power and 4 wheel drive is a workhorse.

The truck performs to my expectations under a variety of trying conditions. The truck is comfortable and has the power to pull heavily loaded trailers. On the highway without loads it is a pleasure to drive. In the Montana winters it is a reliable and safe vehicle in heavy snow.

Large display screen for backup camera

Rides smoothly for a 2500. Haven't had any issues with it mechanically. There are a few recalls out that will need to be addressed one. Favorite feature is the large screen for the back up camera.

Ram Laramie is the best truck I have ever owned!

No issues, runs great! Very comfortable and I love the heated steering wheel. I had 4 recalls when I purchased the truck but was able to take it into a local dealership to have all updates completed in less than 3 hours at no charge. Mine is black with chrome. I wish it did not have the chrome. That is the only thing I would change.

Comfort and design ram power wagon.

I love the power in the engine, it's 4x4. The leather seats are heated for the winter and have a fan for the summer. Love the pedal adjuster especially because of the height difference with me and my spouse. Has a sunroof and back window that opens with buttons. Lots of room.

Best truck for hauling trailers.

My ram 2500 is big and powerful, it has plenty of room for any sized person. I have had no mechanical problems at all. My rams seats are comfortable enough for any length of road trip. One of the best features is the dual cameras for either a bumper pull or gooseneck trailer.

Great truck for real truck guys.

Cummins reliability is second to none. The truck is built to be a truck not a city boy vehicle like ford and Chevy. It is a nice truck for being the lowest trim model and I actually like the vinyl seats and floors. The sound system leaves much to be desired but that can be upgraded rather inexpensively.

Great looking truck that tows nicely.

Truck has performed great so far. We have towed a 9000 lb trailer almost 6000 miles and have not had any issues. Gas mileage is about 12 while towing and 20 when not towing. Plenty of room for me, my wife, and 3 kids. Infant seat, car seat and booster seat in the rear seats fit nicely.

The 2017 ram is amazing .

This vehicle is a wonderful truck it is the second time we've owned a pickup and we love it. It is very helpful in carrying our groceries in the bed. Also carrying our grandchildren in the back seat. Our children even borrow it when they need a truck to do chores.

Bad Decision

Rough ride lots of recalls, many problems

With only 56000 kms on the truck, this vehicle has spent a lot more time at the dealer than i would like. Transmission issues, oil leaks, traction control issues, alternator replacement, DEF issues x3, plus front end recalls etc.... I'm beginning to think the Cummins engine is the only good part of this truck. Why couldn't they build a better truck!? Its going to be a Ford next time... If this thing causes me any more grief I'll cut it in half, make a trailer and put the Cummins in the box to use as a generator!

Worst 2500 truck

Worst truck ever bad gas mileage everything has gone wrong by 170000 km mark no 4/4 abs engine light coils are bad you name it it has a code for it oh ya no fan for my heater or air conditioner it just comes on when it wants too

Drivers side window breaks every winter!

Constant problems with the drivers side window. I bought the truck new in 2017 and the window has come off the track every winter. This appears to be a known issue that has not been properly addressed by Ram. I would not recommend purchasing this model.

The most off-road capable truck that one can buy straight from the factory.

Everything with my power wagon as far as the mechanics go, is great. I have never had any issues with it. Electronically on the other hand is where my issues start. The locking mechanism on the truck. With my key fob I will lock the truck, the horn will sound confirming that the truck was locked. However, there have been times where 1 door did not lock and if that door is opened the alarm will sound. Bluetooth connection is another huge issue that I run into. Connecting my cell phone to the Bluetooth of the truck. The connection will constantly fail. When listening to music through the Bluetooth, the system will often freeze to where I have no control over it. I cannot change the song, or the volume. I have plenty of electronic issues with the truck. It is what will cause me to get a new truck sooner than I would have ever thought.

Comfort of your truck from pulling to comfort.

It is not a bad truck, it gets the job done, but it is just not as comfortable as a GMC made truck, if you are going for a comfortable truck that is the way to go, but with dodge ram you getting more pulling power while giving up comfort. It really just depends on the lifestyle you are typically in.

This truck is great for work and the camera is great.

The ram 2500 is reliable and has had no mechanical issues. The mpg is only around 14 per mile. I use it as a work truck and it hauls my trailer for work as well as my horse trailer. It hauls both of them easily on the highway, slightly gutless uphill but not bad. The rear camera is awesome it makes hooking up to a trailer very easy.

This truck is great for work and the camera is great.

The ram 2500 is reliable and has had no mechanical issues. The mpg is only around 14 per mile. I use it as a work truck and it hauls my trailer for work as well as my horse trailer. Amazing car! It is so comfortable, we love taking it on road trips. It has a ton of space inside the cab and a wonderful large arm rest and lots of cup holders. It is very reliable and we haven't had any issues.

Size of truck is hard to park in normal stalls, the new def emissions system is a pain. You need to add def in the diesel system every couple of months. The is no pump for def you have to walk into a store and buy a box. Pour it into the tank and the box always spills.

The only con I have is one that cannot change- it takes up a lot of gas and the gas is expensive for the car. Just make sure that is in your budget when buying the car. But that is a normal con to most trucks -but I would buy this car again and again.
