Ride is supremely comfortable.
350, 000 miles and still running great. Original engine, original spark plugs. I have driven this car back and forth to work each day ( 75 ) miles daily and it still gets over 25 miles to the gallon. The paint job still looks good and I have only had one small tear in the leather. My only complaint is the letter on the steering wheel. It began to peel off a couple of years ago so I had to put a cover over it. We were able to find one on line with the Toyota colors so it does not look too bad.

Great car! Always reliable and fun.
My vehicle is an older model and has the usual older car issues. Door handles on the drivers side interior and rear exterior have broken and needed to be replaced. The interior headliner has begun to come loose and the clear coat is peeling. The cruise control no longer works. It gets ok gas mileage for a 6 cylinder and runs very well. It is very comfortable to drive and very reliable.

Moderate condition, reliable, stylish, and drives great!!
The year of my Toyota Avalon is 2000 and is mint green. It is a luxury addition XLT all leather, sunroof, heated seats and a very comfortable ride. The car is an automatic transmission. It has weathered many storms including accidents and continued to be after repairs and maintenance a reliable vehicle. The problems currently is that the radio/cd buttons are not working. The electronic board that reads the stats of the day are incorrect. My cars performance is that it has good speed on the highway and is light and agile to turn. The steering is very smooth. It has a new battery, struts, and all new tires are on its way. The appearance of the car shows some. The driver's side view mirror does not rotate but stays put in one place. A few years ago I hit a frozen snow pile near a curb I was trying to pull into a parking spot and caught the front end below of my car and broke a piece of it. The front bottom right side of my car is split yet still appears intact. The gas tank door does not close anymore and remains ajar. The interior of the car has coffee stain in multiple areas of the carpet. The leather is worn in multiple areas on the seats. The trunk is clean and in good condition with a spare tire and associated tools in the trunk area. The mileage on the car is 259, 000 and I am planning on driving it until it does not care to drive anymore. I love driving Toyotas and plan on getting more Toyotas.

It has cup holders in the seats.
The performance is very good. The comfort of the vehicle is very comfy and I can always just go outside and relax in it with a cold soda. There are many astonishing features such as working doors and windows, and locks. The reliability is very reliable as it has not broken down in the past year.

It's a good car and great starter car for new, moms.
I like the spacious backseat for kids, the gas mileage. Dislike the low sitting front makes heavy on back tires.

2000 Toyota Avalon- Electrical and Comfort
Electrical Problems with starter. Vehicle would cut out mid-drive. Issues resolved with service. What hasn't been resolved is the flickering of headlights and interior lights. Some cabin noise is experienced as well. Other than a few issues, extremely comfortable ride. They don't make them like that anymore.

Everyone should know that this car is great for long distance drives.
I really like the size of my car, however the speakers tend to blow out quite easily. But i really do like the ride of the car. It is smooth and safe.

Full power, including rear view mirror and side mirrors, and heated seats.
Toyota Avalon is one of the best cars to drive, it is comfortable, roomy, heated seats, CD and cassette player, sunroof, full power, including rear view mirror, for the longest time I didn't have any issues, just change oil, breaks when needed, it is safe, it has air conditioning in the back seat. Seats adjustable into comfortable position.

Roomy automobile and drives very well.
Good to drive and seats and floor are roomy. Can only use one brand of tires. Large and good to drive. Over years gets lower gas to miles. Would recommend this automobile. Mine is a four door which makes it easy for riders in the back seat. It has a large trunk area and can reach from inside the car also.

It is a very safe car both in n town and on highway.
Very comfortable to ride in and i feel it is very safe to drive because it is so heavy. Roomy in front and back for passengers. Dependable when starting.

Toyotas are reliable and comfortable cars.
Electrical system is not the best, rides good, had to replace radiator and components. Leaks a minor amount of oil and transmission fluid. Otherwise, a good car. I like Toyota especially the Avalon. Used to have a Corolla which also was a decent car.

Drives smooth! Aged very well with proper upkeep.
No problems. Had to do basic maintenance. Mostly highway miles and good drivers. Check all fluids as required. Great car overall. The interior has held up and there was some discombobulation n with the computer systems. Hit a deer once and the vent came out easily.

It's an oldie but runs like a newer car. If you are ever in the market for a car that will last pick and Avalon
It runs great even though it's old. It does tend to have tire issues on the left side. Gas mileage is great and the ac is always very cold

Toyota is one of the best cars on the market.
Toyota is one of the best cars on the market. It drives smoothly on the road. It rarely has any car issues. I had it for 2 years and it is still in good running condition. My car is a four wheel drive with a six cylinder engine. Overall, Toyota is an all around great car.

2000 white Toyota Avalon.
The car was old and the interior and exterior were not maintained by the previous owners. The car has over 200k miles and still runs good. Needs a tune up and run gas right now but still does a decent job performance wise. Its spacious enough could use a little more space in the backseat.

2000 Toyota Avalon Four door sedan
Toyota vehicles last a long time. I use to have a brand new rav4 but that was repossessed and now I have an Avalon that gets me from a-b just fine. It's an older car with over 200 thousand miles on it but it drives better than most cars. Needs little fixes here and there but nothing major yet.

My 2000 Toyota Avalon review.
Its comfy and has the best gas mileage ever, but recently it's been getting slower because of the age of the engine. It has heated seats and an aftermarket radio system which is one of my favorite things about the car. I wish it had a backup camera. I am overall thankful I have the car.
accountCircle Alyssa S on August 18, 2020

Reliable car for people not looking for a flashy car
It is a reliable car that comfortably gets you place to place. I have a radio that has great speakers and it gets decent mileage. The trunk has plenty of space to store equipment, luggage, etc. The A/C works great and cools the car down quickly on a hot summer day. I have leather seats that retain heat on a hot summer day, but that is the only complaint I have.
accountCircle Rachel M on August 13, 2020
The Avalon: a smooth ride.
The overall ride of the vehicle is smooth, gas mileage is fine. I enjoy the interior as it has an older, yet neat and tidy feel to it. The features on the inside (radio, ac) are simple to use while providing everything I need. However, as soon as I purchased the vehicle, the front brakes started sticking, and the calipers had to be replaced on both sides.

Toyota Avalon. This car is for older people who like comfy seats.
My Toyota Avalon was bought used. It runs okay given the year. The seats are leather which makes the comfort very nice for passenger. Everything is electrically powered, so the seats and windows are adjusted automatically. The seats sometimes take a long time to adjust but it can be done very specifically which is nice. It has a lot of electrical problems with the stereo system. You cannot play any CDs or tapes. When it is dark outside you can not read the screen. There is no backlight. The speakers are all blown out so the sound quality is pretty bad. There is a power outlet available to the back seat. There is also one drink holder available for the back seat.

My second hand 2000 Toyota Avalon... How I love you!
I love my car. I've bought it second hand and have no real complaints. It drives like a dream, gets very good gas mileage and is easy to do normal maintenance on (I.e. Fluid checks and changes, spark plugs, things along this line.). You know a car is wonderful when they only thing I can think to complain about is the seat belts have a horrible habit of twisting when you release them.

The one most important thing one should know about the car is that it's built to last, especially when it is taken care of properly.
My Avalon XL, still rides smooth, as it did when it was purchased in 2000. The only issue is that when it's been sitting outside for awhile, the fuel seem to not want to inject properly so then it runs rough until it warms up. Sometimes if it sits on even a slight incline, the fuel doesn't inject properly either. That's it.

Toyota Avalons are reliable and drive smoothly.
The car drives very smoothly. I have not had any transmission issues. The car has had issues with the air flow O2 sensors since it has a high mileage. The car is very reliable, I've driven multiple long trips in it. The seats are leather, which is comfortable but can be very hot in the summer and heat.

Faithful performer even at 20 years old
It is a great, reliable car. Even though it's older, it has really nice details such as leather seats, and an appealing digital dash display that make it seem much newer. It's a bigger sedan, which makes it more comfortable to ride in, but also a little bit harder to park and maneuver. Mine has 160,000+ miles on it and it really hasn't had any major issues at all- I expect to get to at least 200,000 before I have to replace anything major. It gets pretty decent gas mileage for a large sedan. It doesn't have an aux input, which is annoying, but the tape player works great! I've made several cross-country road trips in this car, and even slept in it some nights, and it's very roomy and comfortable, with a lot of trunk space as well. Overall, I highly recommend this car!

The reliable work car-Toyota Avalon.
It is a reliable and non-fussy vehicle. We drive only regular short distance trips with it but it has driven well on a few longer trips. It is not too big or too small and we have no problems finding parking spaces. Car is roomy and comfortable and mileage is good. Not fabulous but that is to be expected with its age. The body is holding up very well and has not needed any work so far. There are airbags for both driver and passenger and lots of trunk space. Seats fold down for even more trunk space.

Japanese engineering is great and simple to work on. If you're an elf.
Japanese engineering is by far the way to go in my opinion. It is features and technology where under the hood is concerned is unbeatable. It is just so hard to work on if you are a do it yourselfer. Everything is so tight and compacted together it is near impossible to maintain on your own unless you have extremely small hands.
