The oil type and capacity will depend on the engine that Your 2007 Hyundai Tucson came with. The 2.0 L 4Cylinder engine has A4.2 quart capacity and takeS5W-20 synthetic motor oil while the 2.7 L V6 takeS4.8 quarts of either 5W-20 or 5W-30 synthetic. You can get away with using conventional oil but You'll end up changing Your oil more frequently and Your engine life may be limited so it's better to take the slightly higher up-front cost and have less to worry about down the line. You can probably make it at least 10,000 miles between oil changes if You decide on the synthetic but it's probably best to go with every 7,500 miles to be on the safe side. -

The 2007 Hyundai Tucson's base 2.0L inline-4 engine requires 4.2 quarts of 5W20 synthetic oil. The optional 2.7L V6 engine takes 4.8 quarts of 5W20 synthetic oil. Hyundai does allow for the use of 5W30 as alternative to the 5W20 oil. These weights are based on synthetic oil formulation.
