First the pros- Great Gas Mileage and it has had an average maintenance needs. It is very roomy on the inside and is easy to clean. The blind spots are minimal because there is a lot of windows. The seating is very comfortable. The 4WD works extremely well and has gotten us through some very bad winter storms. The height of the car is great in the rain and snow as well. The cons are few but there are a couple. The first is the back windows do not go down all the way and the amount that it stays up is more than other cars I have had. The other is that the struts on the glass window in the back and the hatch back door itself have worn out very quickly.
It has pretty good fuel mileage for an SUV. Good storage room and has been reliable. I have only needed to do maintenance to it. I bought the car brand new and put over 187,000 miles on her in the 13 years we've had her. I'd buy another Hyundai in a minute!
First the pros, it is great to drive in all kinds of weather, it has more than enough room for a family who takes their vacations by driving, it gets excellent gas mileage and the warranty is great. The cons, when the brakes get worn the caliber usually has to be replaced as well so it can be costly and the only other con would be the automatic door locks get worn and do not work with the remote opener after a few years.
The struts on the rear window that opens to get in the back and the back hatch door struts both wore out quickly. This has caused both of the to close without warning or to not stay up when you are trying to put packages or other items in the back. Also, the back windows do not go down far enough. I have had other cars that the back windows did not go down all the way either but they went down farther then these do.
It's not a luxury car. Some road noise. Had a small problem with the rear hatch light. It was left on one night and melted the cover. Also, the hydraulics in the rear window arms is gone. And having a hard time replacing the rear wiper blade.
The door locks get worn in a few years and do not work with the remote key fob and the brakes cost a lot to replace because the caliber usually has to be replaced with the pads so each time you are replacing the breaks you have to and the cost of replacing the calipers as well.
