The 2016 Ford F-150 oil type iS5W-20 full synthetic and the oil capacity is going to vary from engine to engine. The 3.5L V6 will hold 6 US quarts of oil and the 5.0 L V8 will hold 8 US quarts. You can expeCT5 quarts to range in price from $15-$30. To keep Your car running smoothly and for a long time, You need to stay on top of oil changes and checks, which is extremely easy. Check Your oil about once a month to look for clear oil and make sure its within normal range of the min and max fill lines. If above, drain some oil, if below, top it up. You should do a full oil change every 7,500 to 10,000 miles.

Ford doesn't recommend full synthetic oil in the 3.5 , 5.0 l checked with the Ford service at my dealer the F 150 trucks come from the manufacturer with synthetic blend u do realize if u have a truck under warranty and something happens to your motor and Ford has that oil tested and its not right guess who's paying for the new motor not Ford

Ford recommends SAE 5W-20 fully synthetic oil for the 2016 Ford F-150. The truck's oil capacity varies by engine: the 3.5L V6 engine holds 6 quarts of oil and the 5.0L V8 hold 8 quarts.

It clearly states the 5.0L V8 in a F-150 holds (takes ) 8 quarts of oil.

Not true. My 2016 f-150 EcoBoost , in the oil fill cap says, 5w30. However, I did buy 5w20 and changed oil and filter today, because my wife's Jeep takes 5w20 and I was confused upon purchasing.
