You can reset the change oil light in 2018 Mazda CX5 in just a few simple steps. First make sure You are parked in a safe spot and turn the ignition completely off. You will find a knob/stem/stick on the instrument panel, find it and press and hold it. Continue to press and hold that stick and turn the vehicle to the on position. Continue to hold that stick for around 5 seconds until the warning light blinks. Release the stick and the oil change message on the display will go away. If it doesn't work on the first try You will need to repeat it until it does work. The oil change light will come on around every 7,500 miles or around every 12 months and it means Your oil needs to be changed. Oil has to be changed because it doesn't last forever.

To reset the change oil light on a 2018 mazda cx-5 you will first turn the ignition key to the on position without starting the engine. On the center dash screen select "application" to enter the menus. Then select "vehicle status monitor." Next select "maintenance." Next select "scheduled." On this screen select "reset." A confirmation will appear where you select "yes" to confirm. Next return to the "maintenance" menu. Now find and select "oil change." Select "reset." A confirmation will appear. Select "yes" in order to confirm this.

On cluster screen on top right side there is a button we use to change trip. You have use this button for hard reset if screen reset did not work. So you push this button and keep pushed, in the same time turn ignition on without starting vehicle. You can do it by pressing push button start without brake. After few second you will notice maintaince light in cluster will blinking and then gone. Now you can release trip button. You problem is solved.
