To reset the 2018 VW Atlas oil light first be sure that the doors are closed and do not touch the brake pedal. Press and hold the reset button located beneath the display screen. While still holding, press the start/stop button. The display screen will read "Reset oil change interval". Press the reset button again which will complete the process. The service interval for an oil change is once every year or 10,000 miles. The oil capacity iS5.8 quarts including the filter. The suggested oil type is SAE 5W-40 synthetic European motor oil. Any oil used needs to meet the Audi, Volkswagen quality standard.

You first will turn the ignition key to the run position but don't start the engine. Select the settings menu. Once there you will select the service submenu. There you will have a reset option that you must select. After selecting that, you will press ok. You will need to press ok again in order to confirm.
