The 2019 GMC Acadia oil type and capacity is 0w-20 and 5 quarts. Your oil needs to be changed eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't change it, there will be problems with the engine. Having high quality oil is essential for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with this fluid at some point. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. You could experience bad gas mileage. Knocking noise may show up from the engine.

The oil type for a 2019 GMC Acadia is a full synthetic. The 2.5L 4 -cylinder engine runs on SAE 0W-20. The capacity for the FWD model is 5 quarts and 6 quarts for the AWD model. The SUV's 3.6L V6 prefers 5W-30 and holds 6 quarts of oil.

I had a Honda Accord that took 0/20 and to Jiffy Lube offered to use a synthetic blend or something similar but less expensive to save me some money. Only noticeable difference was my gas mileage decreased by 5 mpg so the next time I used the 0/20 and it went back up.
