The 2019 Hyundai Elantra oil type and capacity iS5w-30 and 4.4 quarts. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. Knocking noise may show up from the engine. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience bad gas mileage. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine.

Read the manual. That's why they put it in the glove compartment. Full synthetic oil is NOT required. The owner's manual details the weight for the different engines and models.

Dont be sucked into high end oil, use your manual to decided on oil viscosity and use anyting with "Meets or Exceeds" manufacturing warranty. You dont need synthetic in over 90% of the cars out there it doesn't do any Magic that regular oil does. Make your engine last longer with regular oil changes.
